Do we like Zach King?
Our score: 6 out of 10. Nothing harmful turned up in his words or work, but a workplace lawsuit is still undecided and the record is thin.
Zach King is the bloke behind those six-second clips where a hat turns into a bird or someone steps through a wall. He made his name on Vine, then rode the move to TikTok, YouTube and Instagram, with brand deals and a trio of kids' books along the way. Biola University, his alma mater, says he has over 130 million followers across platforms.
His biggest moment is a record. His 2019 clip Magic Broomstick was recognised by Guinness World Records as the most viewed TikTok video ever, with 2.2 billion views. King called finding out about it “pretty surreal”, which is about the right reaction.
Now the stain. In December 2021 a former producer sued him and his company, King Studio LLC, in Los Angeles. The suit alleges sexual harassment, gender discrimination, wage discrimination and retaliation, and claims he fired her over Zoom in 2020 saying she “complained too much”. Fox reported at the time that King could not be reached for comment, and I found no verdict, settlement or ruling in the sources I could read.
On the harm test, nothing turned up. Searches for anything he has said about LGBTQ+ or trans people, women, vaccines, climate or politics came back empty, and there is no slide into grievance or conspiracy theory in the coverage. His faith is public: Busted Halo billed him as a devout Christian, and Biola picked him to give its 2024 commencement address. Faith alone is never a fail here, and nothing suggests he has pushed it on anyone.
His recent work is cheerful and clean. In May 2026 he put out Cardboard Wars, a Star Wars parody built from cardboard, with Randall Park, Michelle Khare and Airrack. Nothing in his recent projects suggests he is keeping dodgy company.
The good-stuff list is honestly short. The record, the books for kids and the commencement speech are real, but I couldn't verify any charity work from a solid source, so I won't make any up.
