Do we like Yulia Svyrydenko?
Our score: 6 out of 10. No harmful words or acts of her own turned up, but the record we could verify is short and one money question is still hanging.
Her biggest test came in November 2025, when the anti-corruption bureau NABU alleged a kickback scheme around state energy firm Energoatom. Svyrydenko said her government was waiting for the procedural results and was ready to help the investigators. The allegations were aimed at others, and nothing we read shows any finding against her.
On the harm check, we found nothing nasty. No anti-LGBTQ+ or anti-trans words of her own, no climate denial, no conspiracy talk, and no shady company she keeps. The honest gap is that she hasn't said much on those topics that we could find, so this is a pass on absence, not a loud yes.
Her exit in July 2026 was a reshuffle, not a disgrace. She said talks with the president showed “the need to reset the government”. Zelenskyy publicly offered her the ambassador job in Washington, and Ukrainska Pravda sources reported she turned it down, so the whole thing was a bit messy.
On the good stuff, the verified list is short, so we won't pad it. Her response to the energy probe, offering cooperation rather than a closing of ranks, counts for something. Overall she's a lean-yes with an asterisk on the money question, and we'd happily revisit if more turns up.
