Do we like Thomas Raggi?
Our score: 7 out of 10. Nothing harmful found and a track record of standing beside LGBTQ+ causes with his band, but there isn't much on the public record to go higher.
Thomas Raggi is the guitarist of Måneskin, the Roman rock band that went global. Since the band went on a break, which one report calls a pause rather than a goodbye, all four members have been doing their own thing. No split was ever officially announced.
His own thing was a solo album, Masquerade, out on 5 December 2025 and produced by Tom Morello. It was recorded in Los Angeles with guests including Alex Kapranos, Serge Pizzorno, Chad Smith and Matt Sorum. Morello was effusive, saying Raggi has a rock spirit that is rare these days.
On the harm check, there's nothing against him. No slide into conspiracies, no culture-war grandstanding, no dodgy co-stars turned up in the searches. In 2021 he kissed bandmate Damiano David on Polish TV, and on Pride day Damiano said everyone should be free to be who they want to be. That's the band's statement rather than a speech from Thomas, so credit him for taking part, not for the words.
The one real stoush was in 2023, when people accused the band's gender-bending style of queerbaiting. In The Guardian, Damiano denied it and said their style is filtered through their queer bandmates. Thomas wasn't quoted on it in the coverage we read, so that's the band's defence, not his own.
The honest gap: he's a quiet one. We found no court cases, no credible allegations and almost nothing on his politics, plus no detailed reporting on charity work we could open. That's why it's a solid seven rather than a gushing nine.
