Do we like Stell (Stellvester Ajero)?
Our score: 8 out of 10. No harmful words or company turned up, and he has backed relief drives, but the record shows no big public stand for others.
Stell is the main vocalist, lead dancer and choreographer of SB19, the group that put P-pop on the world map. Before fame he studied hotel and restaurant management and worked a fast-food job, and he has since added coaching on The Voice Generations to his CV. He is the kind of pop star who came up the hard way.
The big news is Lollapalooza. On 30 July 2026 SB19 became the first homegrown Filipino act to play the Chicago festival, opening with DAM and GENTO and closing with CRIMZONE. A livestream pulled more than 300,000 viewers, and the Department of Tourism ran a public viewing in Manila.
Afterwards Stell thanked the fans, the A'TIN, for their love and support, and promised more surprises and opportunities. Two weeks later he announced the solo single Crazy, his first solo release since the 2024 EP Room. It was a good run for a bloke who says he doesn't want to feel famous.
Now the harm check, which is where we'd normally go digging for grievance, conspiracy talk or dodgy company. We searched for anything on trans people, women, vaccines, race and the climate and found nothing from him, good or bad. His recent projects are pop, TV and music collabs with other artists, and nothing in that list set off alarms. The honest caveat is that he isn't a political voice, so this is an absence of harm, not a record of activism.
On LGBTQ+ matters, the one thing we found is a 2024 interview. Asked about rumours on gender identity and sexuality, he said he didn't understand why they were treated as an insult. He asked what the problem would be, which is a pretty relaxed, unbothered response. He didn't confirm or deny anything, and that's his business.
On the good-person side, we found no lawsuits, accusations or court outcomes against him. In July 2024 he teamed up with Julie Anne San Jose, fans and the GMA Kapuso Foundation for a donation drive for Super Typhoon Carina victims, tied to their joint concert. It's a decent act, though one drive doesn't make a long record of sacrifice, and we haven't found a cause he's pushed hard for himself.
