Do we like Rauw Alejandro?
Our score: 7 out of 10. No harmful words or company found, and real community work, but the record we could read is thin and one feud is still messy.
Rauw Alejandro is the Puerto Rican reggaeton and urban-pop star who went from a regional name to a global headliner. His Cosa Nuestra World Tour ran to more than 70 shows, wrapped in Puerto Rico on 29 November, and sold more than 850,000 tickets, according to Puerto Rican press.
In April 2026 TIME put him on its 100 most influential people list, in the icons group. That is the sort of recognition that tells you he is no longer just a Latin-charts act. He is a mainstream pop-culture name now.
The messiest recent thing is the Rosita stoush. In February 2026 a verse on the Tainy track with Jhayco referred to Christian Nodal, and Cazzu objected. Rauw says he never spoke badly of her and didn't write the line, though the press reported that critics saw his reply as playing it down.
The other mark is legal. In August 2025 BM Records, a Florida label that claims to own much of DJ Playero's catalogue, sued over four tracks on Saturno, alleging uncleared samples and seeking up to $150,000 per infringement. Rauw said he believed his previous label had cleared the songs. We found no ruling or settlement, so it is an unproven claim.
On the harm check, we found nothing: no attacks on LGBTQ+ people, women or migrants, no conspiracy rabbit holes and no questionable collaborators. The honest caveat is that he seems to keep politics light, so there is not much on the record either way, and we would not claim more than that.
The good stuff is real. Each Three Kings Day his PaMaRa Project Foundation runs a free event, and in 2026 it drew more than 15,000 people to the Puerto Rico Convention Center with gifts for thousands of kids. The foundation says it reached more than 12,000 people in 2025 with over 500 volunteers.
