Do we like Ranz Kyle?
Our score: 6 out of 10. A clean search on harm and conduct, but too little reporting to say more than a cautious yes.
Ranz Kyle is one of the Philippines' best-known online dancers. By March 2017 he was posting comedy and dance videos with his younger sister Niana Guerrero, and Big Frame, a digital talent management company, signed the pair to push into the US market. At the time he was 19 and had around 924,000 subscribers.
He rose to fame on YouTube with dance videos set to Chris Brown and Trey Songz tracks, then built the Ranz and Niana brand on Facebook and Instagram. It's a family-friendly dance-and-comedy act rather than a political one, which is partly why the record on him is so quiet.
On the harm check, we ran searches on LGBTQ+ people, women, politics, climate, vaccines and migrants, and nothing came back. No campaigning, no conspiracy posts, no culture-war grift, and no reporting that ties him to people who push harm. That's an absence of evidence, not a glowing character reference, and the coverage we could open is light.
On conduct, we searched for lawsuits, court cases, accusations and apologies and found none, and nothing suggests he treats co-stars, staff or fans badly. We found no recent news or scandal either, so there's no fresh stoush to report. This is thin evidence, so take it as a clean search rather than a character witness.
The good stuff is mostly the career and the fans. He and Niana were named Favorite Pinoy Internet Star at the 2019 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards, and a 2022 GMA piece shows him publicly cheering on his sister's performing. We didn't find any charity work or causes he's backed, so we won't make any up.
