Do we like Raisa Andriana?

Our score: 7 out of 10. No harmful words or acts found and a steady run of charity work, but little on record about her views on the big issues.

Raisa is one of Indonesia's biggest pop names, a Jakarta singer-songwriter with more than a decade in the game. By 2022 she was telling the Jakarta Post “I feel like I'm back” after her album It's Personal, whose EP version won the AMI Award for Best of the Best Album.

On the scandal front, there isn't a story to tell. We found no court case against her, no accusations of mistreating anyone and nothing from a reputable outlet. Gossip sites chew over her private life, and that is tabloid territory we've left alone.

The harm check is where honesty matters: she isn't a political firebrand. We found nothing from her on LGBTQ+ people, women's rights, climate or vaccines, either good or bad, and no sign she works with people who push harm. What she did do publicly was join a group of top Indonesian singers in a Constitutional Court challenge to the Copyright Law, a fight about who pays performance royalties. In December 2025 the court partly sided with them.

The latest news is happy. In September 2026 she sang at Sung Si Kyung's shows in Seoul, and rather than just plugging herself she asked the audience to send love and prayers home to Indonesians hit by disasters.

So where do we land? She passes both tests on what we could find, and the only reason it's not a ringing endorsement is that she keeps her views on the big issues to herself. If you like her music, you can enjoy it without a worry.
