Do we like Prabhas?
Our score: 7 out of 10. No harmful words or acts of his own turned up, plus real flood-relief giving, but a betting-app complaint is unresolved and there is little on his views.
Prabhas is a Telugu-language film star, and his work rate is part of his public story. In a February 2026 chat he said he is trying to make three movies a year, though release schedules mean only two are landing. That is a fairly low-key, fan-first line from a bloke at his level.
The loudest news right now is a film row, not a personal one. The first Fauzi teaser imagines Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose meeting Hitler and introduces Prabhas as a fictional spy. Bose's grandnephew Chandra Kumar Bose says mixing fiction with history is a crime and wants the teaser replaced. The coverage we read carried no reply from Prabhas, the director or the producers, so this is a fight about the movie's choices rather than anything he has said.
There are two legal marks, and neither is a conviction. In 2018 he went to the Hyderabad High Court over officials moving to take his Raidurgam property, which the officials said sits on government land. In March 2025 an activist's complaint to Hyderabad police accused him, Balakrishna and Gopichand of promoting the betting app Fun88. The reporting we read carried no reply from the three and said no arrests had been made.
On the harm test, we found nothing: no anti-LGBTQ+ remarks, no culture-war campaigning, no conspiracy talk, no climate or vaccine nonsense, from him. Old rumours of him campaigning for a party were dismissed as rumours, and he has kept out of politics. That is a quiet record, not a loud endorsement, so call it a pass on what we could find. We did not fetch pages on every co-star or film he has taken on, so it is not a full audit.
The real good stuff is money going where it is needed. In December 2021 he gave Rs 1 crore to the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister's Relief Fund for flood-hit districts. Other reports we saw mention more donations, but we have only fully checked that one.
So where do we land? He passes both tests on the record we could read, with an unresolved betting-app complaint and a film-history stoush to keep an eye on. Not a gushing endorsement, but no red flags from the bloke himself.
