Do we like Nayeon?

Our score: 7 out of 10. Nothing harmful found and a steady run of donations, but she rarely speaks on social issues, so there's little on the record either way.

Nayeon is a member of the K-pop group TWICE and one of the few from the group to go out as a solo artist. Right now she's in the news for a brand gig: a tea chain has announced she'll open its flagship store in Taguig, Philippines, on 14 November. That's a commercial job, not a cause.

The good stuff is steady rather than showy. Korean press reported her making a donation in January 2024 that took her into the Community Chest of Korea's honour society for repeat givers, and she and bandmate Dahyun reportedly gave 100 million won toward wildfire relief in Ulsan in March 2025. Giving quietly and repeatedly, mostly to medical and disaster causes, is a decent pattern.

Our usual tabloid-style rumours about K-pop stars deserve a pinch of salt, and a couple of fan-driven social media pile-ons around her this year were from lower-tier sites, so they're left out. We couldn't open some of the longer interviews, so her own words don't feature here. The verdict is a confident but modest yes: nice, no harm on file, and room for her to say more.
