Do we like Michelle Pfeiffer?

Our score: 8 out of 10. Decent, kind and on the right side for years, with one repost of bad information that she retracted herself.

Pfeiffer's best-known story isn't a film. When she arrived in Los Angeles at 20, she fell in with a couple she first took for personal trainers. She has said they were very controlling, that the time with them was financially draining, and that she was put on a diet nobody could stick to. The penny dropped when she talked to an ex-Moonie about psychological manipulation: she said she just clicked.

The harm check is where the one blemish sits. In July 2025 she shared a post saying organic produce was no longer safe because Bill Gates' Apeel had won organic approval, and called it very concerning. By 31 July she told her Instagram followers she had unintentionally reposted inaccurate and outdated information and was very sorry. Apeel told her Gates has no role with or ownership in the company.

That apology counts because it was quick and she named the error herself. We found no repeat of the claim. Nothing turned up about her saying or doing anything against LGBTQ+ people, women, migrants or people of colour, and no run of conspiracy posts. It's one slip, not a slide, so it's an asterisk rather than a mark against her.

The planet side is the real substance. In 2016 she joined the board of the Environmental Working Group, the first Hollywood star on it, and said she'd relied on its research to protect her family. She urged the group to lead the fight for a clean environment in Washington. It's the kind of cause she has put her name to for years, not just a one-off photo op.

On the work front she's busy in a good way. She's the lead in Taylor Sheridan's The Madison, and she told Fox News she resisted his unusual approach for weeks before taking what she called a huge leap of faith. Then came the August 2026 retirement scare, when she said she was joking and that of course she wants to star in another movie.

We found no court losses, no allegations of mistreating co-stars or staff, and no tabloid-free dirt worth repeating. Honestly, that's the whole list. The record is thin on loud political stances, which is a fair gap to flag, but what is there points the right way.
