Do we like Ludwig Ahgren?
Our score: 8 out of 10. Clean on harm, with real good for trans and LGBTQ+ fans and charities, and a few messy creator spats keeping it off the top.
Ludwig is one of the biggest names in streaming, and he's been around long enough that some of his viewers go back to 2013. He built his name on Twitch, then took his shows and live events to YouTube. These days he's as much a producer and organiser as a streamer, running big creator events.
The cleanest window into who he is came in late 2025. A longtime viewer, a trans streamer, died, and Ludwig went quiet on stream before coming back to say he needed to process it. He called her one of his “most OG viewers” and slammed politicians who use trans people as a target, calling it “the most pathetic part of the resurgence of right-wing politics.”
The harm check comes up clean on what I could find. I found no anti-trans campaigning, no conspiracy rabbit holes and no run of films with culture-war mates. I also found nothing from him either way on climate or vaccines, so that's a gap rather than a tick. In 2024 he cancelled a Red Bull appearance in Dubai after fans raised human rights concerns, which is a point in his favour even if the backlash got messy.
The messier side is creator drama. In early 2024 he criticised fellow streamer Hasan Piker in a video that was later deleted, Hasan accused him of “drama farming”, and his Dubai explanation video was briefly set to private and then re-listed. Fair to say he's not above a stoush, and it didn't look tidy.
On the good side, his 2022 glass-box charity stream at DreamHack Atlanta ran 50 hours and raised about US$300,000, split between Alveus Sanctuary and No Kid Hungry. The charity work is a pattern, not a one-off.
Put together, he's a yes. The only dings are the creator feuds and a record where I could only open a handful of articles, so there may be more out there. On what's on the page, he's on the right side of the people and planet question.
