Do we like Lee Know?
Our score: 8 out of 10. No harmful words or acts turned up and there is a long, documented run of giving, but the record on his views is thin.
Lee Know, real name Lee Minho, is Stray Kids' lead dancer. Rolling Stone UK describes him as the group's steady anchor: someone who plans ahead, reads each bandmate and adjusts his teasing to suit them. He told them, “I find that I am the one that is organised.”
The scandal file is thin, which is a story in itself. We went looking for lawsuits, court cases and allegations against him personally and found none from reputable outlets. The noise around him is mostly fans complaining that the label undersells him on stage and screen, and dating chatter we're leaving as tabloid territory.
On the harm test, there is nothing to report. We found no remarks about LGBTQ+ people, women, migrants or the climate, no conspiracy talk and no dodgy collaborators. The honest caveat is that idols in Korea say very little on politics, so this is a pass on what's on the record, not a deep read of his views.
Now the good stuff. He has sponsored children overseas through World Vision since 2014, and in 2024 gave 100 million won to its food crisis response. In August 2026 he gave another 100 million won for Nepal flood relief, saying he hoped it could offer a bit of strength to people having a hard time.
It isn't only one charity. For his 2025 birthday he gave 200 million won, half to a Seoul hospital for seriously ill patients and half to a cat rescue group. The fans' gift that day was the occasion, but the pattern is what counts: it's years of quiet giving, announced through his agency.
On duty, he told the August 2026 press conference he'll serve his military obligation when his turn comes, and asked fans to wait for him. Bandmate Seungmin summed him up: “Lee Know is someone who keeps his promises.” Where you land on compulsory service is your call, but he's handling it without drama.
