Do we like Lee Know?
Our score: 7 out of 10. Nothing harmful or nasty found and a steady run of real giving, but little on record about his views, so we stop short of the top end.
Lee Know is Lee Minho, the main dancer of Stray Kids, the JYP group that debuted in 2018. Before that he danced for BTS, and Rolling Stone UK describes him as a former BTS dancer who now helps lead the group's dance-break unit. He is also a solid singer, so he does a bit of everything on stage.
On the scandal front there is honestly not much to tell. Searches for lawsuits, court rulings and allegations against him personally came back empty. The fuss around him has been fans complaining he gets too little screen time and styling variety, which is a complaint about how the label treats him, not about anything he did.
On the harm check, we found no statements from him about LGBTQ+ people, women, migrants or the planet, good or bad, and no sign of him platforming anyone who pushes harm. That is a pass on what we could find, but it is a quiet pass, because he mostly talks about dance, fashion and his fans rather than politics. We'd call the record thin rather than glowing.
The recent news is his military service. At the Stray Kids press conference on 6 August 2026, he said he would carry out his duty sincerely when the time comes and asked fans to wait for him, saying he believes the members will reunite afterwards. A bandmate said he is someone who keeps his promises. It is compulsory service in South Korea, so there is nothing to judge there.
The good stuff is the real stuff. For his birthday in October 2025 he gave 200 million won, split between Samsung Medical Center in Seoul for patients and a cat protection group, Nabiya. In August 2026 he gave another 100 million won through World Vision for families hit by the Nepal floods, saying he hoped it could offer a little strength to those going through it.
So would we support him? Yes. He passes both tests on what's on record, with the caveat that there is little on record about his views. Nobody is a hero off a birthday donation, but a pattern of giving and a clean sheet add up to a reasonable bet for a family page.
