Do we like Ken (Felip Suson)?

Our score: 7 out of 10. Nothing harmful found and a couple of kind public moments, but the record is thin, so we've held back from the top scores.

Ken is one-fifth of SB19, the Filipino group that has become the face of P-pop, and he also records solo under the name Felip. He's the group's main dancer and a lead voice, and he's built a solo side with his own album, 7Sins, which came out in 2024. The solo name is how he steps out from being only the group's Ken.

The big recent moment was Lollapalooza in Chicago on 30 July 2026. SB19 played a one-hour set, the first Filipino act to do so there. More than 300,000 people reportedly watched the livestream, and Ken was the one telling the crowd they were about to hear a single released only the night before.

On the harm check, we found nothing nasty. We couldn't find any comments from Ken against LGBTQ+ people, women, migrants or the planet, and nothing about conspiracies or culture-war grievance. We also didn't find him working with anyone who pushes that stuff. That's a clean result, but it's also a quiet one, so it's an absence of harm rather than a record of campaigning.

In April 2026 the group sat down to talk about fandom wars in P-pop. Ken said members can't control what people say online, that words can leave a lasting impact, and that kindness makes the world better. Josh added that educating people is fine when it's done properly. That's the sort of thing you want from a pop star whose fans do sometimes fight.

The nicest story we found was at the Philippine Arena in Bocaue in 2025. Ken read a message from a fan on stage, asked for their paper and marker, and wrote and drew a note back that read “You are loved.” It's small, but it was reported as a spontaneous act, not a stunt. We found no reports of him treating staff or fans badly.

We found no court cases or accusations against him in the reporting we could open. The group's earlier name dispute with its former agency doesn't feature in what we could read here. Overall: pass on harm, pass on nice, and a decent bet to stay that way. Our gap is that he hasn't said much publicly on bigger social issues, so we can't say more than that.
