Do we like Hudson Leick?

Our score: 6 out of 10. Nothing harmful or dodgy turned up, but the coverage is so thin that a clean sheet is all we can honestly say.

Hudson Leick is the actress who played Callisto, the vengeful nemesis on Xena: Warrior Princess, a role that made her a cult favourite with the show's fans. Her screen work has been quiet for years, and she is now mostly known on the convention circuit and as a wellness teacher.

Honest admission up front: this is a thin file. Searches for scandals, lawsuits, accusations or arrests turned up nothing about her. That means a clean sheet, but it also means there's not much reporting to judge her on, and plenty of the web pages about her are content-farm filler we didn't trust.

On the harm check, we found no posts, speeches, donations or campaigns from her aimed at LGBTQ+ people, women, migrants or public health. We also found nothing about her working repeatedly with people who push harm. We can't tell you what she believes on any of it, only that nothing harmful turned up in what we could read.

What she does do, in public, is turn up for fans. Her own site says she was set to lead a restorative yoga class, a free-form movement class and a talk at the October 2026 New Jersey Xena convention. She was also billed to host a yoga class at the 30th anniversary Xena convention in Burbank in early 2025.

Her site presents her as a yoga teacher and intuitive astrologer, selling readings and handmade malas and bracelets under the Hudstones name. That's a small business built around her own wellness practice. We found no health claims or anti-science pushing in the pages we opened, though we didn't find much there either.

Put together: she's a likeable-looking presence for a show with a big queer fanbase, with nothing nasty attached. We just can't say she's a champion of anyone, because the record doesn't show it. That's why it's a solid six rather than a gushing nine.
