Do we like Gigi Edgley?

Our score: 6 out of 10. No harmful words or acts found and a friendly convention-circuit presence, but too little reported to score her higher.

Gigi Edgley is the Australian actress who played Chiana, the grey-skinned thief with the mischievous streak, on the sci-fi series Farscape. She found international fame in that role, and it's still what most people know her for. Since the show ended she's mostly worked on Australian television.

After Farscape she turned up in the Blackjack TV films, the short film Hashtag and the drama Diminuendo. In 2014 she hosted SYFY's practical-effects game show Jim Henson's Creature Shop Challenge. She's also made music, appearing in music videos and as part of a band called The Fancies.

On the harm test, we ran searches on LGBTQ+ people, women, vaccines, climate, race and politics, and nothing came back with her name on it. No harmful posts, no campaigning, no conspiracy rabbit holes. That's an absence of evidence rather than a deep character reference, so say so plainly.

The company she keeps looks harmless too. The recent coverage is Farscape anniversary material: Shout! TV's 25th anniversary marathon, with segments from her and co-star Ben Browder, and a live watch-along she was set to host in March 2025. Nothing there points to the culture-war studios or personalities that trip the by-association wire.

On the good-person side, there are no court cases, lawsuits or accusations in anything we found. She's a regular on the sci-fi convention circuit, and the sources we could open don't mention charity work or causes either way. So she gets a clean sheet but not a glowing reference.

So: would we support her? On what's on the record, yes, comfortably. We'd just like a bit more evidence of what she stands for before we gave her a higher score, and her silence on the big issues is not a mark against her.
