Do we like Elisa Toffoli?
Our score: 6 out of 10. Everything we found points the right way, but we could only open a little of the reporting, so it stays in the middle.
Elisa is one of Italy's best-known singers and songwriters. She is still filling big halls: her 2026 palasport tour took her to Milan in April, and the coverage of that night was as much about what she said as what she sang.
The clearest thing we found for the harm test is a Pride appearance. At FVG Pride Live in Muggia in 2019 she gave a long, emotional speech about her childhood and her mother's story, and argued that LGBTQ+ people can be as good at parenting as anyone. That is a straight-up ally move, said in public, from a mainstream star.
The Milan show in April 2026 had a sharper edge. Il Fatto Quotidiano's report has her telling the crowd she might be arrested if she protested, and complaining that people are being pushed to be weaker, more divided and poorer. Where you land on her politics depends on your own, but it is a singer using her platform to talk about ordinary people rather than herself.
On the harm check, we found no anti-LGBTQ+, anti-migrant, anti-vax or climate-denial comments, and no sign of her working with people who push that stuff. We also found no court cases and no accusations against her. That is a clean result, but honestly the record we could open was thin, so take it as an absence of red flags rather than a full audit.
So: a long-running Italian pop name who has stood up for LGBTQ+ families and is willing to say political things on stage in 2026. We would happily keep her on the playlist. A deeper dig into her charity work and past interviews might lift the score, but nothing we found pushes it down.
