Do we like Cong TV (Lincoln Velasquez)?
Our score: 6 out of 10. A clean search on harm and a solid comedy career, but too little hard evidence of good deeds to score higher.
Lincoln Velasquez, better known as Cong TV, started uploading videos in 2008. He first got attention for short, funny clips on YouTube and Vine, then moved into vlogging. He leads Team Payaman, the crew of creators around him, and his channel passed 10 million subscribers in May 2022.
He is one of the Philippines' longest-running vloggers, and in a June 2025 interview he talked about 16 years of doing it. He said his audience has changed since 2015, with many viewers now having families, so his content is getting more family-friendly while keeping the fun. He also said he has had showbiz offers but has been reluctant, partly because he is shy.
The closest thing to a scandal is political, and it is mild. After he and Viy Cortez joined the anti-corruption protest wave in September 2025, Inquirer reported netizens recalling their earlier election endorsements. His comments filled with jokes about a party-list he had endorsed in the 2025 midterms, and he limited them. Cong replied that people who backed different candidates still have a right to be angry about the country's problems. That is one outlet's account, so treat it as a single source.
On the harm check, I searched for anything on LGBTQ+ people, women, migrants, health or the climate and found nothing from him. No harmful remarks, no campaigning against any group, and no repeated work with people who push harm turned up. Endorsing candidates who later got called out is a fair thing for fans to raise, but on its own it isn't harm. This is also a thin record, because most of the coverage is entertainment news rather than hard reporting.
I found no court cases, lawsuits or reported allegations against him. Gossip-style fan content exists, and that is tabloid territory at best, so I've left it out. The good-person test comes out clean, but it's a quiet result: nothing bad, not a lot of documented good.
The good stuff is mostly craft and loyalty to his crew. In his July 2026 FAMAS acceptance speech he called rival nominee Malupiton the funniest local creator going, and then the two reportedly exchanged pleasantries in the lobby. That's a decent bit of grace from a bloke who had just won. I couldn't find any reported charity drives, so I won't claim any.
