Do we like Sushi Hub?
Australian sushi takeaway chain with stores in shopping centres, started in Cabramatta, Sydney in 2006.
Our score: 5 out of 10. We can't back them with confidence. Our searches found no scandal, but also no good evidence on how they treat staff or the environment, and we couldn't find who owns the chain.
Sushi Hub is a sushi takeaway chain you'll see in Australian shopping centres. Mall and directory listings say it started in 2006 with a small shop in Cabramatta, Sydney. One listing says it is marking 20 years in 2026.
The store count depends on who you ask. Estimates run from over 100 to over 200 stores. Headquarters are listed in Sydney. These are mostly directory listings, so the numbers may be out of date.
On pay, we found no Fair Work Ombudsman case naming Sushi Hub. Other sushi operators have been caught, though. The Fair Work Ombudsman announced record penalties of $15.3 million against the Sushi Bay group. That's no mark against Sushi Hub, but it shows the risk in the industry.
We couldn't find who owns it or who runs it, so we're stuck at the middle of the scale. With no clear wrongdoing but little proof of good conduct, we'd want to know more before backing them.
