Do we like Skims?
Shapewear, underwear and loungewear brand co-founded by Kim Kardashian and Jens Grede; based in Los Angeles, US.
Our score: 5 out of 10. A fast-growing brand with only a few legal run-ins in our search. We found little on its supply chain, pay or environmental record, so we'd say mixed and can't back it with confidence.
Skims was started by Kim Kardashian and Jens Grede. In November 2025 it raised $225 million at a $5 billion valuation, in a round led by Goldman Sachs Alternatives. Grede said the company expects sales above $1bn.
On the legal side, a customer alleged Skims put spyware on her device. Yahoo's report says that case settled, and Kardashian wasn't a defendant. The settlement doesn't prove the claim, and we couldn't open the full article.
In May 2026 TMZ reported that a former employee sued Skims over unpaid wages and wants class status for others. Skims denies it. That's an accusation, not a finding.
Rumours that Skims and Kardashian were suing Lana Del Rey for $1m were reported as false: HotNewHipHop said Kardashian called the claims categorically false. We ignored that story. Overall we score Skims 5: successful, but we found little proof of how it behaves.
