Do we like Schweppes?

Mixers and soft drinks brand (tonic, ginger ale, soda) founded in Geneva in 1783; owned by different firms in different regions.

Our score: 5 out of 10. A well-known, long-running drinks brand with no big scandals in what we found, but no standout good deeds either. It's sugary soft drinks, and it has some labelling and competition cases.

In the US, a class action called Lillian Elliot v. Keurig Dr Pepper says Schweppes and Canada Dry ginger ale are wrongly labelled 'naturally flavored'. It's an allegation, and the results we got didn't say how it ended.

In Spain, a regulator fined Schweppes over agreements that restricted the sale of Schweppes products not made by its local subsidiary. A separate court ruling stopped Coca-Cola selling Schweppes tonic there.
