Do we like Reebok?
Athletic footwear and apparel brand, founded in the UK and now run from Boston, USA. Owned by Authentic Brands Group.
Our score: 4 out of 10. Well-known brand with a patchy supply-chain record. Factory complaints and settled cases outweigh the little we found on the good side, so we'd hold off.
Reebok started as a UK sportswear brand. Adidas later owned it and sold it to Authentic Brands Group in a roughly $2.5bn deal. Authentic is a brand-licensing company that owns many labels.
The top job at the parent has been changing. A May 2026 report says founder Jamie Salter moves to executive chairman to focus on deals. Ex-Wynn Resorts exec Matt Maddox becomes CEO as the company edges toward a possible IPO. We only found the one report.
Factories are the main worry. Reebok called a watchdog's sweatshop report on its Honduras supplier 'inaccurate and unfair', but said it would hire an independent agency to assess it. In El Salvador, a Fair Labor Association probe confirmed some overtime and safety complaints.
More recently, workers at a Myanmar shoe factory said they were not paid compensation when the factory relocated. The Business & Human Rights Resource Centre says Authentic Brands did not respond. Older on the product side, Reebok agreed to a $1m penalty over lead in charm bracelets while denying it broke the law.
