Do we like Menulog?
Australian-founded food delivery app that connected diners, restaurants and couriers. It stopped operating in Australia in November 2025.
Our score: 3 out of 10. No. It has closed in Australia. The exit cost about 120 jobs and left roughly 21,000 couriers with only a voluntary four-week payment.
Menulog was Australia's home-grown food delivery app, around for roughly two decades. It was later part of the Dutch-based Just Eat Takeaway.com group.
In November 2025 the parent company announced Menulog would stop operating in Australia from midnight on 26 November. It said the move lets it focus on more profitable markets in Europe and the UK.
About 120 staff lost their jobs. The business also relied on around 21,000 couriers. Menulog offered eligible couriers a four-week voluntary payment. The Transport Workers Union said it would push for the pay riders were owed and fair exit payments.
Our score is low-ish because there's nothing left to back in Australia, and the exit was rough on workers and couriers. It did honour unused customer credits for a short window.
