Do we like Claudia Schiffer?
Our score: 6 out of 10. Nothing harmful found and a clean-looking record, but too little verified detail to score her any higher.
Claudia Schiffer is one of the original 1990s supermodels, and she is still working. In mid-2025 she was in three big fashion campaigns at once: Balenciaga, Versace and Chloé. That's a proper comeback for someone whose name was a household one thirty-odd years ago.
Her own account of those peak years is a good yarn. In a 2020 interview with Elle UK she said fans cut holes in fashion tents to get photos and that security guarded every show. She said it was “Like being a rock star.” She even said security was posted to stop her underwear going missing after runway shows.
On the good-person side, the one thing that stood out is how she described the industry. She told Elle UK she avoided the late-night party scene. She also said models sometimes looked out for each other by warning one another about mistreatment. That's a small thing, but it's the sort of detail that shows how someone treats colleagues.
On the harm test, we went looking for anything she has said or done against LGBTQ+ people, women, migrants or the planet, and for any company she keeps that pushes that sort of thing. Nothing turned up. Her recent work is high-end fashion campaigns with Balenciaga, Versace and Chloé, and no harmful words of her own surfaced.
Now for the honest bit. Several sites we wanted to read, including her UNICEF page and old coverage of a 2010 photo row, couldn't be opened this time. So we can't say anything solid about her charity work or that old controversy. This is a thin file, not a glowing reference.
