Do we like Christoph Waltz?
Our score: 7 out of 10. No harmful words or acts turned up and he has a long, respected career, but the sources we could read were thin.
Waltz is the Vienna-born actor who spent decades in European theatre and television before Hollywood noticed him in his fifties. He has said that, as a guy from Vienna, he wouldn't have dreamt of a Walk of Fame star, which he received on Hollywood Boulevard. That late-blooming arc is half the charm of the bloke.
On scandals, the cupboard is bare. Searches for court rulings, lawsuits, settlements and allegations against him came back with nothing from an established outlet. The only 2026 'controversy' chatter was a death hoax and vague scandal claims on celebrity aggregator sites, which is tabloid territory and not something we'd lean on.
The good stuff is mostly career: a Walk of Fame star and a long run of respected work. We couldn't find charity work or stories about how he treats crew, so we can't gush about his character. Absence of dirt is a decent sign, but it isn't a halo.
