Do we like Tony Tony Chopper?

A character from One Piece (1997–present)

Our score: 9 out of 10. Yes, easily. He's an endlessly kind medic who will treat anyone, and he's braver than he thinks. He's a little dramatic about cotton candy, but we'd back him.

Chopper is the doctor of the Straw Hat Pirates, the crew at the centre of One Piece. They sail the seas hunting a legendary treasure. He's the sixth member and the youngest. He's a reindeer who ate a Devil Fruit that lets him switch between reindeer, human and hybrid forms. He comes from Drum Island and is nervous around humans. He also has deep medical knowledge.

We first meet him when the crew brings a sick crewmate to Drum Island for treatment. He has been treated as a monster for being different. Even so, he is gentle, eager to help and quick to cry when someone praises him. His mentors taught him that a pirate is someone who has adventures, dreams and never gives up. He has carried that with him ever since.

Why a 9? He heals people constantly, he never turns away a patient, and when the crew is in real danger he steps up and fights well beyond his size. His flaws are small. He's easily flattered and has a hard time telling humans apart. He also gets scared, but he acts anyway. That's the kind of crewmate we'd follow.
