Do we like The Borg Queen?
A character from Star Trek: First Contact (1996)
Our score: 1 out of 10. No. She's charming, clever and fascinating, but she treats people as raw material to be assimilated. We'd admire her from a very safe distance.
The Borg are a cybernetic race that assimilates other species and their technology. Where the Collective is faceless, the Queen is its voice. She first appears in Star Trek: First Contact, where she speaks directly to Captain Picard, whom the Borg once assimilated.
She's intelligent, patient and deeply manipulative. She tempts, flatters and threatens in turn, and she presents assimilation as a gift. She's a standout villain because she is both persuasive and chilling.
She returns in Star Trek: Voyager, where Susanna Thompson plays her for most episodes and Alice Krige comes back for the finale. She also appears in later Star Trek shows. Her goals stay the same each time: control, expansion and the end of individuality. That's why she scores so low.
