Do we like Sackboy?
A character from LittleBigPlanet (2008)
Our score: 9 out of 10. Yes, we'd back him. He's cheerful, brave and kind, and he never hurts anyone who doesn't have it coming.
Sackboy is the mascot of PlayStation's LittleBigPlanet series, which began on the PS3 in 2008. He's a small, stitched-together doll made of sackcloth. He has no fixed face or outfit, so players dress him up and give him whatever emotions they like.
In the original games he travels the Craftworld, a place built from cardboard, fabric and other crafty materials. He runs, jumps and grabs his way through the levels, and he's always ready to help whoever he meets. Players can also build and share their own levels.
In Sackboy: A Big Adventure (2020), made by Sumo Digital, he gets a full 3D adventure. He heads out to stop a villain who threatens the Craftworld and the other Sackfolk. He doesn't say much, but he is relentlessly upbeat, brave and loyal to his friends.
We score him high because he is pure, good-natured fun. He has no dark side and no agenda beyond helping, exploring and having a good time.
