Do we like Queen of Hearts?
A character from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (1865)
Our score: 2 out of 10. Would we back her? No. She's all rage and no mercy, and she shouts for beheadings over nothing. She's only saved from a 0 by how silly and ineffective she is.
The Queen of Hearts is the ruler of the strange land Alice stumbles into after following a White Rabbit down a hole. She is a playing card come to life, and she is loud, red-faced and easily offended. Her court is made up of more living cards.
Her catchphrase is "Off with their heads!" She says it about gardeners, guests and Alice herself, over small slights like a misplaced rose or a lost game. Her croquet game is rigged, with hedgehogs for balls and flamingos for mallets, and she shouts at everyone who plays it.
She scores low because her cruelty is constant and her rule is unfair, and she has no redeeming qualities. She's more ridiculous than frightening, and the King quietly softens her sentences. But she still makes everyone around her afraid, so we wouldn't back her.
