Our score: 9 out of 10. Yes, easily. He's a kind, earnest kid who works hard on becoming a better person and uses his power to help others, even when it frightens him.

Mob is a shy eighth-grader with off-the-charts psychic abilities. He works part-time for Reigen, a self-styled psychic consultant who is a conman, and takes on spirits and curses for paying customers. Mob mostly wants to be normal, to grow closer to his classmates, and to impress his crush.

His strong emotions feed his power. At the 100% mark in his emotional meter, something much bigger comes out, so he keeps his feelings in check. The show is about a boy learning that his feelings are not something to be ashamed of. Strength alone is not what makes him a good person.

We score him high because he is never cruel. When he is bullied, tricked or tempted by power, he mostly responds with patience and a wish to understand people. He is not perfect, and he struggles with confidence and with his temper. But he makes an honest effort to grow, and that makes him a hero worth following.
