Do we like Megumi Fushiguro?
A character from Jujutsu Kaisen (2018–present)
Our score: 8 out of 10. Yes, we'd back him. He's guarded and dry, but he is loyal and brave. He protects the people who can't protect themselves, even when it costs him.
Megumi is a first-year at Tokyo Jujutsu High, a school for sorcerers who exorcise cursed spirits. He is calm, sharp and sarcastic. He uses a technique called Ten Shadows to summon shikigami from his shadow. He is recruited by his teacher Satoru Gojo, and he becomes a teammate of the newly arrived Yuji Itadori.
His outlook is unusual. He says he only wants to save people who deserve it, though his actions keep contradicting that. He ends up helping strangers and friends alike at real risk to himself. His dry humor and his quiet loyalty to Yuji and Nobara make him the grounded one of the trio.
He scores high because he is reliable, selfless and clear-eyed about the danger. He loses a few points for his self-sacrificing streak and his tendency to hold back his own power. Later arcs put his family history and his own fate at the center of the story, and they test him severely.
