Do we like Luna Lovegood?
A character from Harry Potter (2003–2011)
Our score: 9 out of 10. Yes, we'd back her. She's kind, honest and brave, and she stays loyal to her friends even when others mock her.
Luna Lovegood first appears in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. She is a Ravenclaw student who wears odd accessories, reads her father's magazine The Quibbler, and talks openly about creatures like Nargles and Crumple-Horned Snorkacks. Many classmates mock her and call her "Loony". She is not bothered by it.
Her strength is that she is entirely herself. She says what she thinks, treats people kindly, and is a steady comfort to Harry when he is struggling. She joins Dumbledore's Army readily, and she is the only Ravenclaw-style thinker in the group who also shows real courage when things get dangerous.
As the story darkens, Luna stays loyal and brave, helping her friends and fighting alongside them when the stakes are highest. Her unusual way of thinking turns out to be useful: she offers ideas and insights that others overlook. That mix of gentleness, loyalty and nerve is why she scores so high.
