Do we like Littlefinger (Petyr Baelish)?
A character from Game of Thrones (2011-2019)
Our score: 1 out of 10. Charming, useful and endlessly scheming. He looks after only himself and treats everyone else as a piece to move, so we wouldn't back him.
Petyr Baelish, nicknamed Littlefinger, comes from a minor house and has no army. He rose at court through a talent for money and information. When the story begins he is master of coin to the king, and he smiles and flatters his way through a nest of powerful families.
His main trait is that he plays long games. He is always several moves ahead, he collects secrets, and he offers help to the vulnerable and the ambitious alike. He sells it as friendship, but it is really an investment. He says chaos is a ladder, and his actions show he means it.
He scores low because the harm he causes is deliberate and wide. He ruins lives from the shadows, and the people he claims to care about are the ones he uses most. His wit and competence make him enjoyable to watch, but we'd never trust him with anything we cared about.
