Do we like Jabba the Hutt?
A character from Star Wars: Return of the Jedi (1983)
Our score: 1 out of 10. No. He's a gangster who keeps slaves, hands out bounties and enjoys other people's suffering. His only charm is the great palace parties.
Jabba Desilijic Tiure is a Hutt, a species of huge, slug-like crime bosses. He rules a criminal empire from a palace on the desert planet Tatooine. He is mentioned in the early Star Wars films as the man Han Solo owes money to. He appears on screen in Return of the Jedi, and later in The Clone Wars.
Jabba is greedy, cruel and lazy. He surrounds himself with bounty hunters, musicians and dancers, and he laughs while his guests and captives are tormented. His underworld business of smuggling, slavery and threats keeps him rich and feared. He never shows loyalty to anyone, and he has no redeeming cause.
We score him 1 out of 10. The palace is entertaining and he's a great villain, but he is a bully who profits from other people's misery. We would not back him.
