Do we like Fox McCloud?
A character from Star Fox (1993–present)
Our score: 9 out of 10. Yes, we'd back him. He's brave and loyal, and he's a natural leader. He can be a bit cocky, but his team always comes first.
Fox McCloud debuted in the 1993 Super Nintendo game Star Fox. He is the young leader of Star Fox, a small team of mercenary pilots that includes Falco Lombardi, Peppy Hare and Slippy Toad. Shigeru Miyamoto created him, and Takaya Imamura designed him.
Fox is driven by his family history. His father, James McCloud, led the original Star Fox team, and Fox grew up wanting to live up to that legacy. When the Lylat system is threatened, he takes up the fight in his Arwing fighter.
He scores high because he is dependable and courageous, and he inspires loyalty. He trusts his teammates, listens to their advice, and tries to protect them. His flaws are small: he can be hot-headed and sometimes carries too much of the burden himself. We'd happily follow him into a dogfight.
