Do we like Dorothy the Dinosaur?

A character from The Wiggles (1990s–present)

Our score: 9 out of 10. Yes, we'd back her. She's sweet, polite and endlessly cheerful, and she's a safe, kind friend for any toddler.

Dorothy is a big, friendly green dinosaur with yellow spots. She is a regular in The Wiggles' world, an Australian children's music group whose shows are built around songs, dancing and simple stories for preschoolers. She is a herbivore, and she is known for loving roses.

In the shows she is the polite one. She greets everyone warmly, joins the singalongs and enjoys a tea party. She is a little shy at times, but she is always kind. The voice most associated with her is Carolyn Ferrie, who is known for Dorothy's giggle.

She scores high because she does nothing but good. She is a warm, reliable friend who teaches manners and kindness without ever preaching. She isn't a world-saving hero, but she's the friend you'd happily bring to any party.
