Our score: 4 out of 10. Brave, charming and devoted to his family, but he is also violent, impulsive and ruthless. We'd enjoy his company and sit well away from his temper.

Daemon is the Rogue Prince of House of the Dragon, set about 170 years before Game of Thrones. He is the king's younger brother and heir to the throne for a time. He is a gifted dragonrider and soldier, but his ambition and temper keep getting him in trouble. When the show begins, the royal court's feud over the succession is only starting.

He is at his best when he is loyal. He has a real, stubborn devotion to the people he loves, and he can be sharp, funny and magnetic. He also kills, threatens and manipulates without much hesitation, and he often acts first and thinks later.

Season 2 has him in a more uncertain, introspective place, and critics are split on it. Some saw it as a haunted, more human Daemon, while others found him underused and blunted. We score him a 4: he is exciting to watch and loyal to his own, but he does a lot of harm and is a risky person to follow.
